new moon in sagittarius and mother mary

tonight is a new moon in sagittarius (my sun sign) & i also had the most incredible RCIA class at the Catholic church near where I live. the conversation was about Mary, my ride or die, and I felt drawn to every word spoken and every passage shared and every piece of artwork passed around. I want her heart, and I want to love more perfectly as she did.

the times in my life where i realize just how much i don’t know are the times that excite me the most. that has to be why i am so drawn to spirituality: i’ll never know it all, and what i do know happens to be what lives within my soul and my soul only. the conversation around faith has never freaked me out or made me feel uncomfortable. i think somewhere we all know that we’re much softer and far more powerful than our minds can comprehend — the challenge lies in understanding one another and finding the strength to communicate such a personal and vulnerable subject.

i’ll always want to talk about style and travel and health. i’ll always want to know where the best place to get a cappuccino is. i’ll def always wanna know where consignment shops are and for sure let me know about each and every cheeky little boutique. but i wanna know how people pray, too. i want to know how to get that mystic glow from within, not just from dr. barbara sturm’s skincare line. i want to know how God talks to you and how you talk to Him (or Source, or your Higher Power). That’s the stuff.
